Paul Leeburn

My love for drumming is inherited from my father. He played in a couple of bands in his youth growing up in Belfast, Northern Ireland and like all kids I wanted to be just like my Dad. I got my first drum kit when I was in grade 7, however the neighbours in the apartment complex we lived in didn't share my joy of becoming a drummer. I took a few lessons and through high school played in the jazz and concert bands, as well as a hard rocking cover band with a couple of friends. In the many years since then I have played covers and originals, as both the full time drummer and just sitting in with various bands in the Lower Mainland including: The Sons of Terra Nova, Anchors Down, Robert Ford, The Stoaters, Killarney, Harris Road, Preludin and at the many jams in and around Maple Ridge. I also had the honour of filling in for my Dad a few times with the worship band at St. Simons in North Vancouver. .
